Saturday, March 2, 2019, many witnessed the culmination of hard work, perseverance and indomitable spirit, as 16 students tested for their Black Belts.
Students from age 9-52 years of age triumphed through hours of physical training, sparring and board breaking to test for Black Belts ranging from a Jr. Black Belt up to 2nd Degree Black Belt.
This was the final segment of a three part testing process at Arrowhead Martial Arts Academies: written, physical challenge and curriculum. Along the 3 1/2-4 year journey students also earned badges in Respect, Teamwork, Perseverance, Self-Discipline, Leadership and Knowledge.
None of these students could have reached this moment without the support of their parents grandparents, spouses and their awesome instructors. A big thanks to all who were, and are, a part of this ongoing journey. Now the fun begins as we welcome many new black belts to a new experience as they join our Black Belt classes on Monday and Wednesdays.
In honor of this achievement, the celebration will continue at 10:00 am at our upcoming Black Belt Extravaganza being held Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Cactus High School.
